APB Won’t Hit Consoles Without Publishing Partner

Believe it or not, APB was slated for release on Xbox 360 at one point during the game’s five-year-plus development cycle. The game’s creators at Realtime Worlds eventually opted to focus on the PC version, however, and now the fate of APB on consoles remains up in the air.

While APB on consoles isn’t necessarily impossible, it seems to be getting more and more unlikely by the minute. Eurogamer landed a massive interview with Realtime Worlds founder and creative director David Jones, who explained his take on a potential console release for APB.

“That won’t happen until we have a console publishing partner,” Jones said of a hypothetical console version of APB. “That’s the only thing that will trigger that.”
